Giussani Stampi’s technical department develops moulds for plastics and die casting in-house, turning customer specifications into solutions optimised for component quality, mould reliability and stable series production.

CAD design with Siemens NX and Mold Wizard is linked to hyperMILL CAM programming and to 3- and 5-axis CNC machining centres. Before manufacturing, we carry out DFM analyses and Moldflow simulations to assess filling, warpage, injection points, weld lines and material behaviour. This approach reduces modifications, set-up times and industrialisation risks.

Advanced digital tools and support systems based on artificial intelligence complement the team’s experience in data analysis, comparison of alternatives and design checks, while technical decisions always remain under our control.

Giussani Stampi handles in-house the main stages of making moulds for plastics and die casting, from the preparation of components to assembly, fine-tuning and final testing. Each solution is sized according to part geometry, materials, volumes and expected production conditions.

The toolroom includes 3- and 5-axis CNC machining centres, wire and sinker EDM, micro-drilling, grinding, lathes and a mould trial press. Direct control of critical machining operations allows us to act quickly and guarantee precise fits, sturdiness and ease of maintenance.

Before delivery, every mould is assembled, checked and trialled in-house with functional and dimensional inspections to ensure compliance with the design specifications.

Giussani Stampi’s injection moulding department produces technical and aesthetic plastic components with presses from 55 to 650 tonnes. The flexibility of our machine fleet allows us to handle parts that differ in size, material, complexity and production volume.

The presses are supported by mould temperature control, drying and dehumidification of engineering polymers, robotic manipulators and conveyor belts. Multi-shot moulding and overmoulding solutions are available to combine different materials, colours and functional properties.

Parameter monitoring and the automation of part removal and handling ensure repeatability, consistent quality and efficiency, even in series production.

The assembly department completes the production cycle and allows us to deliver components and functional units that are assembled, tested and ready for use or for integration into the customer’s lines.

We have ultrasonic welding systems, silicone dispensing robots and an oven for stress relieving plastic parts. Our specialised staff handle applications that require precision, sealing, uniformity and process control.

Assembly can include final checks, 100% testing and packaging. This reduces the customer’s downstream activities and gives them a single point of contact from mould design to finished product.
